Trusting and Faith in Christ

With so many headlines occurring simultaneously, there can be many reasons why individuals may be fearful and insecure. The world is being affected economically, socially, politically, and in every possible way. Through all this, we must make sure to keep faith in the Lord and Savior that has everything in the palm of his hands. God knows everything that is transpiring and that will transpire. As believers, there should not be anything that takes our peace of mind as God provides us with peace of mind.

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hears and your minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:7

While there are grave and dangerous philosophies which are now causing destruction in big cities, we should not shift our focus away from the importance of faith. God states that He is faithful. Everything around us may seem to change, but it is his perfection that stays the same forever. We shall not fear the terrors that strike as God shelters us in the shadow of his wings.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8

With the world changing at a fast pace, we must place our hope in that which is eternal and everlasting and constant. Like a plant near the fountain of water, we are to be placed close to our Lord and Savior if we wish to survive and thrive. There is nothing in this world that can be a substitute to the love and provisions that Christ gives us.

“Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel-he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!” – Psalm 68:35

While events such as the terrible occurrences happening in Portland to New York, we must pay attention that God is watching. God will protect you and comfort you as we wait on Jesus’ Return. Meanwhile, make sure to keep the faith, pray for the protection of the faithful believers and comfort one another. Trust in the Lord.
