The Wonders and Miracles of the LORD for His People
“We will not hide them from their children but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.” – Psalm 78:4
Throughout the Psalms and Pentateuch, we are able to see the love and wonders that the LORD gives and does for His people. He cares and loves us so much that He made sure that we were taken care of since the beginning of time. Wonder after wonder demonstrated the absolute love that is given by the LORD to us if we accept it.
King David’s Psalm in Psalm 78 speaks of telling the wonders and actions that the LORD has made to the coming generation. Whether He was forgiving the offspring of Adam and allowing His heritage to grow through Abraham, He made sure to provide for us and continues providing for us daily.
One of the biggest wonders to exist in history is the passage of the Israelites led by the LORD and Moses into the promised land from Egypt. The sea divided in two and allowed them to pass safely without any harm against them. Meanwhile, the Egyptians instead of allowing the Israelites to leave safely after being warned of their importance by the LORD, pursued them. This amazing wonder demonstrates how the LORD loves us and cares for us.
He did not only make a way for His people to pass, but continued to provide for them in the desert. He did not tell them that they were free to leave Egypt and then be on their own. He sustained them with guidance and made sure they felt safe in His presence. He provided guidance by showing them where to go in the day and at night. Both times were times of safety in the LORD because He would take care of them.
When they were hungry, he provided their food and allowed them to refresh their thirsty mouths by providing water from a rock. When they grew tired of eating the bread of the angels, they were provided the meat that they wanted. He gives and gives and loves us.
Even through this, there was still sin. There was still disbelief and unnecessary desires. Despite the signs and wonders, they still sinned. Yet, He continued loving us. He continued providing and encouraging us when we feel that we are not enough or that we compare ourselves to our previous past. He is still there providing and telling us that everything will be better. The promised land is there awaiting us. We must just place faith in the Creator and trust in His will for us. He does not forsake or abandon, but reinforces and upholds us.
