When Moses had gone up to Mount Sinai, He received the commandments and statutes that would form a covenant with the LORD and His people. It would allow Israel to have a firm foundation that allowed a connection with the LORD. Initially, this connection only came through Moses as an intercessor that connected his fellow brothers and sisters with the guidance from the LORD.

The LORD wants us to follow His rules in order to have a relationship and foundation in Him. Through this foundation, we are able to maintain stability and peace even when there are circumstances that would indicate that indicate otherwise. He instructs us to love Him with everything we are. We are also instructed to follow the commandments that He gave to Moses to tell to His people.

Being able to follow these commandments, we are able to show our love for the LORD and to continue living in a way that shows faith and belief. The LORD instructs that those who are able to follow the commandments would go well and would also go well with their children. The LORD blesses those who follow his statues and continues to bless the children of the parents who follow the LORD’s commandments. Then in Deuteronomy 4:40 the blessings are continued including being able to live and prolong the days of one’s life as well as living in the land that the LORD had given.

These promises hold true and will continue to hold true because the LORD is a promise keeper. His ways are eternal and His promises never change. He is everlasting, and He allows us to partake in relationship with Him if we love Him and follow His commandments. May the LORD bless you brothers and sisters.
