“Then I said, ‘Ah, LORD GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.’ But the LORD said to me, ‘Do not say, I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I sent you,you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the LORD.” – Jeremiah 6-8

There are times when we feel that what we have to say may not matter or should not be shared. Yet we should be bold to continue preaching the Gospel and the faith that we have placed on the LORD. There is so much that we can share that can help not only in the ability for others to be reached, but for the ability to understand how to deepen our relationship with the LORD.

There are instances that are difficult to understand or specific events that don’t make sense. We are not instructed in understanding or knowing to the specific detail how something will work out, we just need to understand that when we place our faith in the LORD everything works out for His will and our good. Sometimes we attempt to make excuses which are not justifiable but can be understood.

In the example with Jeremiah, Jeremiah did not feel ready because he was only a youth. He did not know the details or the specific plan set out for him. He did not know that there were going to be difficult instances yet that through Jeremiah, the LORD’s will would prevail and many would understand. Sometimes we are not given the specific details because we need to understand that our faith should be greater than the circumstances and events. Sometimes we have to be willing to buy that plot of land when everything around is being demolished or plundered. It may not make sense but the will of the LORD works out.
