“Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our GOD; for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting.”- Psalm 147: 1

Psalm 147: 1 Bible Verse Audio Minute

During the Psalms, we see that there is general instructions about the fate of those that believe in GOD in the first Psalms. There is a distinction made between those who follow the commandments and have faith in GOD. We are able to see that the first Psalms teach us about the importance of faith and believing in the truth. We then see some of the Psalms turn into the difficulties that occurred for the psalmist but that GOD rescued throughout the psalms. We see the Songs of Ascents how the LORD is present through all the difficulties but leads His people towards new heights and allows them to reach a different place than they were in the past. After the Songs of Ascents we are able to see the Psalms of praise with allow us to see that the Psalmist ends the Psalms with joy, praise, and singing.

Through the Psalms we are able to see that there are difficulties that believers experience but that should not deter individuals from following the commandments and belief in GOD. The Songs of Ascents show us that there is a change that occurs. The bitterness and difficulties of the previous psalms are changed and only joy and happiness abound. We see that during the psalms of praise that these emotions are experienced by the psalmist and the people. We are able to see that there is good and that happiness exists. We see that GOD restores the fortunes of His people and allows them to enjoy not only through faith but through singing and rejoicing.

In a similar manner, the Psalms display what many individuals within the Bible and in the present age have experienced. They have believed, gone through difficulties, been improved and refined, and allowed to reach a new height and sing praises to GOD. We are able to see that GOD is present through it all and allows us to see that we are not alone through all the circumstances or difficulties. Like the exiles in the Old Testament, we see that they were allowed to return and rebuild. Like the apostles, that experienced insults and slander yet were able to preach the Gospel throughout the world and rebuild. Like John who was exiled to Patmos, yet received a revelation that rebuilds the world. Like Jesus who died on the cross and was able to rebuild on the third day through GOD the Father.

“Alabemos a nuestro DIOS!
