“And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the LORD appeared to them, and the glory of the LORD shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the LORD. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.’” – Luke 2: 8-12

We are able to see that Mary was foretold the birth of Jesus Christ through an angel. We are also able to see that the shepherds who were in the field we told that there would be a baby that would be born that would be Jesus Christ. While the shepherds are fearful, the angel tells them to not fear because they would receive the beginnings of the Gospel. We see that GOD is choosing to call His faithful towards the birth of His son and allow them to rejoice in the ability to see the Savior born. We see in Luke the account given to the birth of Jesus Christ and understand the people who go and see the baby being born.

We are able to see that GOD calls people from different religions and cultures as seen in the manner in which even the wise men that were astronomers were able to be guided to the baby to worship and give gifts. We are able to see that GOD includes the shepherds and also the wise men from outside Israel to understand the power and grace of GOD.

We see that while there was no place for the baby to be born in the inn, the baby was still adored and worship through the actions of the shepherds and wise men. We see that the angels are able to tell individuals about the birth of the Savior and allow for human beings to share in the good news of having a Savior being born.
