“And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the LORD’s Christ. And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law, he took him up in his arms and blessed GOD and said,’Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.’” -Luke 2: 26-32

In the Chapter of Luke we are able to see how GOD allowed for several people to see the glory of GOD through Jesus Christ. We know from previous chapters and verses that Israel would receive a deliverer. We see that there was a man whose name was Simeon whom it had been revealed that he would see the arrival of Jesus Christ. We see how this individual is able to see Jesus Christ in the temple when the child was brought in to be presented after birth.

We see that Jesus goes through the ceremonies and laws of Moses and also that the individual who sees Jesus blesses the LORD because he was able to see the the glory of GOD. The individual acknowledges Jesus Christ as the deliverer and the person who would not only redeem but bring salvation to people from Israel and all over the world. We were able to see a similar occurrence with the shepherds and the wise men who are able to see the glory of GOD in Jesus Christ.

We are also told of a woman prophet that gave thanks to GOD after possibly seeing the child in the temple since she did not leave the temple prophesying and worshiping and fasting. We are able to see that those that are closest to GOD are able to see the glory of GOD through Jesus. They have prayed and hoped for the salvation of GOD and they are able to see Jesus Christ.
