“And behold, an angel of the LORD stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, ‘Get up quickly.’ And the chains fell of his hands. And the angel said to him,’ Dress yourself and put on your sandals.’ And he did so. And he said to him’ Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.’ And he went out and followed him.”

We learn that Peter, the apostle, was another influential member of the Christian community that was able to preach the Gospel of Jesus and was able to reach people in Israel. We learn in the book of Acts that he was able to preach at Jerusalem and was able to convert individuals to Jesus Christ. While there were other apostles and disciples that attempted to preach at Israel, Paul was sent to the Gentiles due to opposition and resistance from those that did not want to hear the truth.

Peter was able to instruct individuals in the faith of GOD by converting several individuals from Jewish and Gentile. We are able to learn in the books of Acts that Peter was very influential to the point that he was able to reach places that were not reached in the past. We are able to read that he was able to free people from sickness through the word of GOD and through the great faith that he had in the name of Jesus. There are verses in the Bible that indicate that Peter was able to save people from sickness simply by people lining up to hear him and see him.

While there was opposition to the preaching, Peter received help from the Holy Spirit, the angels, and Jesus Christ. We are able to see that the word of GOD advanced even with the opposition that existed. We learn that Peter was able to escape the false accusations and attacks through the help of angels that released him from his enemies. An angel was able to wake Peter up and lead him to safety showing how they are servants of GOD. This shows the steadfast love of GOD for those that care about the word of GOD. In Revelation, we see how angels do not look to be worshipped but instead tell believers to worship GOD. We can see that Peter was able to continue preaching and helping believers establish the Church of Jesus Christ in the beginning of the Church age as was prophesied by Jesus Christ who knows everything that is to take place and that has already made known to us the future events through Revelation. We can see that Jesus Christ would allow for Peter to be able to preach and continue being an apostle for the Church.
