“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?”

In Isaiah we learn that Jesus Christ is mentioned and prophesied about even before he is born. We learn of the miracles and things that he would do in order to lead Israel and the world back to GOD’s steadfast love and grace. We also learn in Isaiah that the LORD has a specified day set aside for judgment. We learn that the prophets not only prophesied about Jesus Christ but about the day that GOD would judge. We learn in Isaiah that GOD is able make all things new.

While the prophesy about the day of jugdment may appear difficult to understand, we learn that it is to build a better world and a better beginning after the previous iteration of the creation is judged. We know that GOD is able to answer our questions seen through the word of GOD and seen through the answers to the prophets, apostles, and disciples. We read in Isaiah, “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?” referring to the mighty things that GOD has created and made.

We know that GOD is able to create and also able to judge the creation based on our actions, forgiveness, intentions, and everything He can see including the minds and hearts of individuals. We know that while in Genesis the creation suffered through sin and its effect has been felt for thousands of years, we know that after the events of the day that Jesus returns, there will be a new beginning that will be better than the initial Genesis because sin will be gone.
